Raised in a small town, Pamela’s love for literature began from an early age. As a teenager, she was the editor of her high school newspaper and also wrote articles, short stories, and poetry for the local newspaper. During her interim as a student at Gulf Coast State College, she thrived in creative writing and literature courses. Pamela’s love for writing has continued into her career as an English teacher where she teaches two journalism classes and manages the school journalism club.
In her spare time, Pamela enjoys hiking the Florida trails, attending spoken word events, and supporting the local arts community. She is a member of PEN America and the U.S. Journalism Education Association. She currently lives in Panama City, Florida with her son, Jude, and their two dogs, Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt.
